Let’s Take Care, Together
No matter the challenge, JAWS is here to help improve the lives of all who live here, animal and human, big and small
Stray Cats in your Neighborhood?
option 01Trap - Neuter - Return
For feral, unadoptable cats, this is the most humane way to manage them. TNR refers to trapping, spaying/neutering, vaccinating and then returning back to the neighborhoods or colonies they are familiar with.
option 2Spay and Neuter
Spaying and neutering prevents unwanted litters and also keeps animals healthier and happier. It makes them less aggressive, reduces urine smell and reduces unwanted behavior. Pregnant cats can be sprayed.
option 3Foster and Adoption
Many street cats make wonderful house cats. Making that transition requires assessment, fostering and adoption. JAWS members may have capacity… and you might consider fostering for them. Let’s work together to see what’s possible!

THE LOVING DECISIONAnimal Surrender
Sometimes, for reasons beyond our control, caring for animals becomes unmanageable. Pet ownership requires a lot of responsibilities that aren’t always possible when dealing with life hardships. We understand and there’s no shame in asking for help.
BEST HEALTH CAREUp-to-Date Vaccinations
Regular vaccines are essential to keep your pet healthy and avoid deadly, expensive diseases. All pets should receive core vaccines when younger and then kept up routinely. All animals are required to have the rabies vaccine per Pennsylvania law.
DON'T BE SILENTReport Animal Abuse
Neglect of an animal is failure to provide necessary food, water, shelter or vet care. Animal cruelty is knowingly beating, abandoning or abusing an animal. Aggravated cruelty is torturing an animal through neglect or cruelty causing serious bodily injury or death.
